Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer
I have three decades of professional writing and editing experience in journalism, technical writing, grant/proposal writing and content creation. I have taught journalism, editing, interviewing and writing at the high school and collegiate levels and I take the bi-weekly AP Stylebook quiz for fun. You’ll find the latest Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebooks on my bookshelf, next to a worn copy of Strunk & White and the complete works of Roy Peter Clark. As a co-founder of Iris Content, I am dedicated to providing our clients with outstanding, original content that meets and exceeds our clients’ expectations.
Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer
Professionally, I have been writing for the past 15 years. I started as a newsroom editor and basically went through all the writing areas: from politics to industry, from lifestyle to social. Working for several high-profile U.S.-based companies has taught me more than writing for the web and adapting my style to various client needs, it has taught me how to find out what people want even without them expressing their needs in too many words. I am using this skill now for the agency we co-founded, and hope to make all of our clients happy in the process.
Co-Founder & Chief Content Officer
I have over 20 years of experience. I’d like to consider myself a Jane-of-all-trades when it comes to content: I have covered everything: I have been a TV news editor-in-chief, a magazine chief editor, an online writer and content manager. For Iris Content I wear the hats of SEO, content marketing, content sales rep, editor and writer. I would like to believe that our still new but very successful enterprise was created with a lot of good intentions and a huge heart, with a special dedication to clients who need help and a good content friend.
Copyeditor & Content Specialist
I am a published writer and experienced copywriter, editor and proofreader who has over a decade of experience. I hold two Bachelor’s degrees, a B.A. in English Literature and a B.S. in Marine Biology. I am a PADI Divemaster and an AAUS Scientific Diver. My last dive was on the Great Barrier Reef, at night. It was spectacular. I currently live in Japan with my husband and two dogs.
Copyeditor & Content Specialist
I have a passion for the written word and over 13 years of experience writing and editing. Working with clients across a range of industries worldwide has taught me the importance of clear communication, and I love creating content that allows for the effective exchange of ideas and information. In my free time, being with family, gardening, or curling up with a good book makes me happiest.
I believe I was born to write. I spent more than ten years working in the news media in Barbados. I started out as a business journalist and later took on the role of online coordinator. I edited news stories for the web, wrote scripts and produced videos. I’m a bit of a grammar nerd and I enjoy improving good writing. I’m also a fashion and travel blogger and I love Instagram. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s in Strategic Public Relations.
I am a freelance writer from Milwaukee, Wis., who loves the art of crafting copy. I have experience in marketing and worked as editor-in-chief of a monthly magazine where I was able to hone my writing skills. No matter the topic or audience, I have a story to tell and I look forward to writing copy that captivates readers and makes them beg for more.
I am a copywriter, journalist and editor having more than 11 years of experience in the field of web content planning/creation. My passion for writing has extended to a couple of personal projects, as well. I’m a published ebook author and I also have a couple of websites about being a freelancer, making money online and starting a web-based business. My academic background is in the field of journalism – I have a degree in journalism and mass communications.
Creative & Fiction Writer
I have been working as a freelance writer and editor for nearly 15 years. I have a Master’s in Business Administration and have worked for many years in marketing and healthcare. I am a regular contributor on various online platforms and have significant experience writing articles, blogs, website content, and newsletters. I have also been involved in writing for and editing healthcare journals and publications. While professional business and healthcare writing is something I really enjoy, in my free time, I also write romance novels. I am an avid reader and a huge fan of classic romances and humor. I am a published romance novelist and have also written several children’s stories.
My earliest 1st grade report card mentions how I excelled at writing “news.” From that humble beginning, my love of writing has continued to grow. I have a BA in mass communication and an MSc in electronic publishing, and my career has spanned working as a print and broadcast journalist and an information officer for the UN. I’m now doing what I’ve always loved best: putting together well-crafted copy that gets its message across clearly. Along with being a freelance copywriter, I also ghost write fiction and balance all that with homeschooling four young children in Essex, England.
Aimee Faunillan Abella
I first ventured into online copywriting in 2008 when I dreamed of trading the routine comfort of my office desk for my first love: writing and wordsmithing. Since then I have been writing for various clients and on countless projects all over the globe. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an M.A. in English Language and Literature. When I’m not copywriting, I dabble in creative writing (poetry and short fiction), attempt to take good photos, and make sure my coffee mug is always half-full.
Writing has been my passion and a way to express myself since primary school. I turned it into a career in 2010 when I began my freelance writing venture. I cannot imagine a better way to use my Sociology, Psychology, Sales, and Marketing knowledge and experience or a better opportunity to keep learning and evolving. When I’m not writing, I’m with my husband and our two girls. We read princess stories, play games in the park, cook healthy foods, watch movies, or take long walks along the Danube.
I’ve worked as a freelance writer over the past 4 years providing content across a variety of subjects because I enjoy writing and I love researching new topics. In addition to freelancing, I worked in a compliance division for 2 years writing internal and external material for the company. I have a Bachelor’s degree where I found my love for business and leadership and put this to work for 5 years in management. My goal is to write content that brings together valuable information that entices the reader. Aside from writing content I read constantly and aspire to write both fiction and non-fiction. Much of my life revolves around personal development, making the best of each day, and inspiring others to do the same.
Marketing & Social Media Expert
I’ve put my skills to good use as a twice self-published cookbook author with a third one in the works. I can create content of any sort, anywhere, anytime. As a former television news anchor and reporter, I am skilled in writing for a variety of genres and I have a knack for working thoroughly under strict deadline. I am especially skilled at writing “short” but can beef up any article appropriately to meet word number requirements. As a whiz with words, marketing and public relations go hand in hand with my writing abilities. When my fingers aren’t typing away on my laptop, I love a long, brisk walk or you might find me at home in Washington, DC in my kitchen, baking a homemade delicious dessert with my three girls.
I’m a freelance writer who believes that words can move people and make a difference in the world. I have experience writing in a diverse range of topics from entertainment news to relationship blogs to crafting persuasive business content. Armed with a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, I want to tell a story one blog at a time. Besides writing, I am a Zumba fitness instructor and dancer. When I’m not writing or giving a Zumba class, you can find me watching Netflix TV shows with my two beautiful cats.
I am a freelance writer living in Buffalo, New York with my fiancé. I have experience in marketing, consulting and copywriting and am interested in a wide variety of topics. Over the past ten years, I have worked with startups, smaller local businesses, and global companies. My educational background is in business and I have an MBA from the University at Buffalo. I enjoy incorporating my business and marketing sense into my writing when appropriate, whether it’s web copy, blogs, press releases, or articles. When not working, I enjoy playing soccer, hiking throughout Western New York with my German Shepherd, and am working on the final edits of my fiction novel.
I’m an avid reader and writer with both Bachelors and Paralegal degrees. I’ve been writing full-time for 12 years and before that, I was a Project Manager handling large installations for a national telecommunications company. I’m interested in a wide range of topics and enjoy researching and writing on all subject matters. When I’m not writing I enjoy the outdoors and like exploring antique markets. I can also be found spending time at the local used book emporium.
